Exploring the Isle of Staffa, Scotland

Staffa, which comes from the Old Norse for stave or pillar island, is an island in the Inner Hebrides in Scotland. It’s a small, uninhabited island, home to a colony of puffins and famous for its unique basalt columns and Fingals Cave. It can sometimes be quite difficult to land on the island due to the swell but luckily we picked a great day for an exploration to this gorgeous island!

Top 6 things to do and see in Tobermory, Isle of Mull

Tobermory is a colourful harbour town on the Isle of Mull in the Scottish Inner Hebrides. It is located on the east coast of Mishnish, in the most northerly part of the island. Famously the inspiration behind the popular children’s program Balamory, this gorgeous little town is full of quaint shops, cafes and restaurants. You could easily spend a day exploring this absolute treasure of a place.

Exploring the Isle of Ulva, Scotland

Ulva is a small island in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland, off the west coast of Mull. It is separated from Mull by a narrow strait and has a population of just seven people! This is easily one of the most remote places I’ve visited but equally one of the most untouched – an absolute haven for wildlife lovers.

Exploring Calgary & Devaig, Isle of Mull

If you’re a regular reader of Edits Of Jo then you’ll know that a couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to spend some time exploring the beautiful Isle of Mull. With the weather being GLORIOUSLY sunny (who would have though it eh?) we managed to tick off all the spots we wanted to visit on the island.

Visiting the Isle of Mull

For our summer holiday this year, we ventured to the very beautiful Isle of Mull in Scotland. Mull is one of the largest islands of the Inner Hebrides and is situated off the west coast of Scotland. It’s a complete world away from the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh, with rolling hills, lochs galore and hundreds of  sheep causing road blocks!
