With the weekend weather picking up again (or so the MET office forecast tells me) I’ve compiled a list of a few more favourite walks less known to tourists and removed from the hustle and bustle of central Edinburgh. On a summer’s day there’s nothing better than relaxing by the sea or on a riverbank, watching the world go by and tucking into a good ol’ Mr Whippy ice-cream (with the obligatory 99 flake).
Without a doubt, one of the best ways to explore Edinburgh is on foot. The city is incredibly compact and there are a number of beautiful viewpoints and walks dotted throughout the city. Since moving up in November, I’ve been ticking off a number each month and have compiled a list of some of my favourite hills to walk and green spaces to explore.
